Medicare Advantage Plan, also called Part C, is a single plan that combines hospital costs, doctor’s visits, and other medical services. You can choose between a plan with or without prescription drug coverage.
Medicare-approved private companies offer Part C.
With a Medicare Advantage Plan, you’ll have coverage for all Medicare services as an original plan, except for hospice care. Regardless of the advantage plan you choose, you’ll always receive coverage for emergencies and urgent care.
Most advantage plans provide extra coverage like vision, hearing, dental, as well as health and wellness programs.
Plan benefits change from year to year, though. We’ll help you understand how a plan works before you join.
As long as you have Medicare Parts A and B and live in the plan’s service area, you can get access to a Medicare Advantage Plan. Those with end-stage renal disease or permanent kidney failure, however, typically cannot join the program.
On top of your Part B premium, you have to pay a monthly premium for the services covered by your Medicare Advantage Plan. Each plan has different premiums and costs; our insurance agents can help you compare plans in your area and find the one that suits your needs.
